Summer Vibes - Peroni & Prezzos



Spending so many of my days in the city, it's almost a daily occurrence for me to eat out and Italian food is my go-to, which makes sense considering Prezos is one of my favourite restaurants. Literally, it has become a running joke with my friends when we are thinking of eating out, I will always make a punt for Prezzos! So when I got invited to try the new summer menu with some Al Fresco drinking and a Peroni cocktail class, its safe to say I was there in a heartbeat!


I have to be honest, up until the event I had never really delved into Peroni much. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that I have never been a go-to larger boy - but since this summerful experience I have a feeling this may change.


Special thanks to the Italian cocktail maestro (forgot his name after too many cocktails haha) for the amazing cocktail making class. I picked up so many useful tips. I'd never really thought of using Peroni in cocktails, but every cocktail we made perfectly captured summer. One of my favourites was the Peroni Limoniand, the idea of rimming the fresh mint leaves around the glass before drinking is certainly a tip worth remembering !!


Don't get me wrong, I loved making all the different cocktails (see below for recipes) but what struck me the most is how refreshing this premium Italian larger is solo. Especially when accompanied with Prezzos summer delights; a little pizza and some pasta washed down with Peroni = perfezionare.

Has mentioned, I have never been much of a big larger drinker but when the sun was shining and the drinks were pouring it hit me that this is surely what summer tastes like.

Peroni Spritz Aperol – 30ml Pink Grapefruit Juice – 30ml Prosecco – 50ml (lets be honest, just pour til your hearts content) Peroni Nastro Azzurro – 100ml Pour it onto ice and serve with a wedge of grapefruit! Peroni Limoni (my fave) Mint Leaves – 6-10 sprigs Lemon Juice – 15ml Limoncello – 30ml Peroni Nastro Azzurro – 150ml Pour on ice and Top it with lemon and mint to make it extra instagramable. Peroni Negroni Orange Juice – 15ml Martini Rosso – 50ml Campari – 50ml Peroni Nastro Azzuro – 50ml Build on ice and garnish to your heart’s content, with an orange wedge.
